I know all my millions (or is it billions?) of fans are waiting breathlessly to find out what happened to me, medically speaking. Well, not much. Oh, I could have died by bleeding to death afterwards, since they did put a big hole in my femoral artery. But I didn't. No, I don't have any coronary blockage. Yes, I do have a bad heart, and it is certain to kill me, sooner or later. Oh well...
I've noticed that some "shock jock" named Don Imus has gotten himself into a spot of hot water by insulting the Rutgers women's basketball team. I don't follow women's basketball - or any other kind of basketball. But, apparently, the Rutgers women's team has had quite a storybook season. And, judging from their appearance on TV after the Imus affair, they are a group of fine young ladies. Why Imus would insult them is a mystery. Well, OK, it really isn't a mystery; that's what he does: he insults people. I have only listened to this Imus fellow a few times, for a few minutes. He seems to be a celebrity whose "talent" is skill at insulting people. So insulting the Rutgers women's basketball team probably seemed to be business-as-usual to him. Well, he finally went too far. They always do that eventually, don't they?
The question I have about the whole deal is not why Imus would insult the Rutgers women's basketball team (such behavior has been very successful for him), but instead why do you people listen to people like Imus? Is that sort of thing really entertaining for you? Why? Have you no sense of basic human decency at all? Shame on you people.
On another front, so to speak: our adventure in Iraq continues to go badly, just as I had assumed it would. Now the Democrats and Republicans are arguing about whether we should get out in a year or so, or only after we have succeeded - which we will never do anyway. The answer is: no. We should get out right now. And I don't mean in a year, or in six months. I mean now. Get the troops onto trucks and boats and airplanes, and get them the heck out of there. Tomorrow (April 13th) would be a good time to start doing that. Today would be even better. What will happen to the Iraqis? They will undoubtedly kill each other by the thousands. Dictators will take control. Things will be as bad for them as they were before we liberated them in 2003. Yes, I know all that. But guess what? Contrary to the globalists' assertions, we are not the world's policemen. We are not responsible for what the various crazy-assed fanatics in various hell holes do to each other. Really, we're not. We tried to help them; it didn't work; let's get out - right now. And let's not make the very same mistake again the next time people in some other hell hole are mistreating each other.
