Spam graph's are back up and operational. We've also
upgraded the Spamassassin system.
- [06/16/2006] - Installation of Vistech 3rd highspeed connection has
been completed. This should speed web browsing and large file transfers
quite a bit!
- [06/10/2006] - Gentoo users: Speed up your sync's and distfile
trasnfers! Use the local Vistech.net mirror. In your "make.conf" file,
point your SYNC to "rsync://rsync.gentoo.vistech.org/portage" and your
GENTOO_MIRRORS to "http:///rsync.gentoo.vistech.org".

- [06/26/2005] - More spam prevention work done. We've moved the
Bayesian
filter database to MySQL. This will help improve preformance of the
mail servers. We've also install several new spam protection features
such as
pause greet.
We also now support
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) for our
customers protection.
- [06/07/2005] - Spamassassin has been upgraded on all mail servers to 3.04. We've also upgrade ClamAV (Virus Protection) and mimedefang as well. This should help curb the flow of spam.
- [05/22/2005] - Vistech now supports a "Tor" node. What's is Tor? It allows anonymous traffic on the Internet using
"onion routing.
Tor
is a project started and supported by the EFF
(Electronic Frontier Foundation). The local
Tor server is tor.vistech.net.
- [05/10/2005] - Upgraded anti-spam software. We've seen a dramatic rise in spam, and this should help filter most of it.
- [05/02/2005] - We've added redundant servers in Dallas, TX. Right now, it's covering backup DNS and mail services. We plan on also making inbound web services redundant.
